It's coming!!

Got a call yesterday from CWD to confirm shipping address and also to collect the balance due on my saddle (gulp).  I guess that's where the non-show-entry dollars are going... 

The nice (but hard to understand) lady on the phone told me that since I confirmed my address on Tues, the saddle would ship from France on Wed, and should arrive Fri. 

Like this Friday.  I don't really understand how that works since I can hardly get my mail from a neighbor in two days (let alone accomplish much else), but maybe part of the painfully grotesque price tag goes toward business class airfare for the pretty piece of tack.

I hope they offer the saddle some champagne during it's long flight...

Who knows.  All I know is I am going to be staring out my window waiting for the postman like a rabid dog on Friday. It would be miraculous if I had the new saddle for the show next week.  While I"m grateful to be able to borrow other people's stuff, I'm always paranoid that I'm going to put a big ding or scratch or something in their stuff.  And I feel a little worse about absconding with someone's saddle for a week than I do snagging it for a 40 minute hack at home.... so fingers crossed!
